47 Labs Midnight Blue 4733 Preamp/DAC

The second product from the new Midnight Blue entry level range from Japan's 47 Laboratory (first one being a tuner).  47 Labs' philosophy is very zen with a motto like "Only the simplest can accomodate the most complex".  Short signal path, low component counts, etc. Their simple but innovative products are probably the most imitated in the DIY circles.  Gaincard are copied as Gainclones, Shigaraki transport are being re-built from Sanyo boom boxes and affectionately called "Shigaclones".  They also make uber expensive and technologically out-of-the-box products too, such as the upside down laser PiTracer transport, and the twin contra-rotating Koma turntable.
